I was in Norway this week and I sat down with their best comic and buddy of mine, Dag Sørås to talk about how the tragedy in Norway effected the comedy scene there. To mark the big one zero I have interviewed Comedy Estonia’s own Eric Seufert. Eric and I talk about his style of comedy, the comedy scene in Europe, how we want Comedy Estonia to grow and also his move to Helsinki. Swede Anders Celin is a gem who is probably misunderstood in his own country. He has a clever, cheeky style of writing jokes and we sit down and discuss controversy, how to make a living from comedy and just where was Jason Rouse? Running time 22 mins.

Al Pitcher and Martin Lagos visited Tallinn for Comedy Estonia and gave us the best night we have had yet, a really brilliant show. The morning after I sat down with the guys in their hotel room and talked about their comedy and how each of them comes up with their material, while Al is very improvised and in the moment, Martin is more of a written comic, but both of them has great fresh observations about Estonia. It was a really nice talk about comedy and how they produce their material.

In the latest episode I sit down with Swedish comedian Henrik Blomkvist and we talk about running comedy clubs. Henrik runs a great small club in Stockholm called “El Mundo” and we talk about why he runs a club and his philosophy behind it. It was great to talk to my old buddy Henrik about our shared experiences.

Last week when I was in Sweden I caught up with my old friend Evelyn Mok, who has been to Estonia last year and is loved for her weird shy girl character she performs as. Evelyn and I talk about that character, why she does it and the different personalities that character takes on. At the end we have Finnish comedian Henric Chezek stop by for a few laughs. Running time is a bit longer at 43 minutes as we had so many things to speak about!

Aron Flam is definitely the bad boy of Swedish comedy. He is dark, sarcastic and intelligent and I find that talking with him is always a pleasure. We were supposed to talk about comedy but somewhere we got sidetracked into something else fascinating and the time passed quicker than any interview yet. Special bonus in the intro, Finnish American comedian Henric Chezek!

Englishman and long time resident of Belgium, Nigel Willliams joined us in Tartu, Tallinn and Turku and his intense, in the moment comedy really made the shows great. Nigel speaks about the viewpoint of his comedy and how that effects his entire creative process.

This is the anniversary month for Comedy Estonia and this week has been out biggest yet: ETV, Playboy, Drink Bar and a new website. This week on the coffee table at Drink Bar we had the pleasure of having Ahmed Berhan from Sweden come and he delivered one of the most memorable nights yet. Louis is old friends with Ahmed and they sit down and talk Estonia, the old days back in Sweden and how Ahmed produces his comedy.

In this episode Louis sits down in the ferry cabin with André Wickström who is one of the biggest names in Finland and had performed at Stand Up Comedy with Louis and Eric in Tallinn the night before.
